When my team suggested I develop a line of merchandise, I took the time to pray and consider about how that would look for me. Growing up I looked to the elders in my community for examples of the type of woman I should become. As an adult, I craft stories about women who embody the strength, resilience and self-awareness that I witnessed. With each book that I write, and/or each event that I put my name behind, one of my main goals is to inspire someone in some way. I have long believed that words have power and I wanted to bring that power to my merchandise. It is my desire for each item to mean more than a book or an event
for the person who purchases it. I want each word, each phrase, to mean
something to you.
